Metabo HPT 18V MultiVolt Cordless Brushless Hammer Drill Kit with Lithium-Ion Batteries, Charger, Carrying Bag, High Torque, 2-Speed

We've been working with this drill for a couple days now, and it's quite impressive! There is a lot more power there than the size implies and it feels very well built. Comparing this against the subcompact Makita hammer drill I have, it manages to be smaller! An impressive feat. The handle also feels nicer in my hand, it's just small enough to have a secure grip on without slipping. A couple areas that need improvement though: when the trigger is depressed, there is a bit before the drill starts spinning. The trigger has some weird lag and play in it that really subtracts from the overall package. The right/left switch also feels pretty loose, and again it really detracts from a great tool. Apart from these small areas, the thing is a beast. The clutch feels great and sturdy, and coming with batteries and chargers it's a steal!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this Metabo Hpt kit the other week. I was impressed with it right off the bat. The grip is very comfortable. The drill is also pretty light, I was able to use it no problem with a prior wrist injury. I got to use the drill on everything from concrete all the way down to delicate things like kitchen hardware and doorknobs. I'm also really enjoying the newer batteries it came with. The 4 light led bar is far superior than the 2 bars provided on some of the tools. This really helps with keeping the job moving and always knowing what your charges are at.
