The German-made Metabo SB 18 LTX-3 BL Q I 4.0 Kit 18V Brushless Cordless 3-Speed Hammer Drill excels in all hammer drilling applications, but uniquely incorporates an additional 3rd gear specifically for high-speed drilling in metal. Moreover, operator safety is greatly enhanced by Anti-Kickback functionality that utilizes on-board gyroscopic sensors to cut-out power upon bit lock-up. Bits are easily loaded into the re-engineered quick-change tool-free chuck with 100 percent more bearing reinforcement for even stronger drilling performance, while still retaining the 1/4 in. hex magnetic bit holder in the spindle for driving screws. Greater functionality is achieved with the convenient torque-selection wheel that dials into 12 individual settings for precision operation, including "Impulse" mode to help initially set bits and screws. Performance is further improved with Metabo’s 2nd generation long-life brushless motor mounted in a re-designed tool housing to increase airflow and reduce overheating. Handling and durability have been further optimized with the ergonomic rubberized slimline handle coupled with a more-responsive trigger mechanism. The integrated LED work lights illuminate the work area for ease of operation in dark spaces. The package includes (2) 4 Ah Li-Power battery packs, ASC 55 Charger, tool bag, Futuro Plus quick-change chuck, belt hook, and bit holder. The Metabo SB 18 LTX-3 BL Q I 4.0 Kit 18V Brushless Cordless 3-Speed Hammer Drill is powered by Metabo Ultra-M Lithium-Ion batteries or industry leading LiHD batteries. The revolutionary LiHD batteries deliver more power, runtime per charge, and battery pack lifetime than competitors by utilizing revolutionary Lithium-Ion High Density battery cell technology combined with the highest quality materials and heavy-duty high current components to amplify the power transferred to the motor while providing more runtime.
