Mentholatum ointment is a natural healing treatment for dry chapped skin. When the cold outside and the dry inside makes my lips chapped, I can always apply just a little Mentholatum ointment and they feel better instantly. My grandmother always had this ointment on hand. My mother kept a Jar of mentholatum on her night stand for as long as I can remember. I find it comforting to have on mine as well. It lasts a good long while. It's great for dry chapped lips, upper respiratory issues and smells warm and comforting. I put a swipe of it under my nose for even more comfort. It's a great cheat and back rub. The uses are endless.
