Melting Directions: Double Boiler: Place 2 cups morsels in top double boiler over hot (not boiling) water. Do not cover. Prevent water from coming in contact with morsels. When morsels begin to turn shiny, stir constantly until melted. Once melted, immediately remove top pan with melted morsels from bottom pan.We recommend melting no more that 2 cups of morsels at a time. Once melted, use immediately. Melting Directions:Microwave: Melt  2 cup morsels in uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on high power for 45 seconds; stir. If needed, microwave at additional 15-second intervals, stirring vigorously after each interval until morsels are melted. Microwaves vary, melting times may need to be adjusted.

Dont know i haven't tried semi sweet chips before but they were out of all the milk chocolate so i bought these. I think im gonna keep buying them because they are sweet but not too sweet and i like the size of the chips better. I like to make ahead cookie dough using the recipe on the bag except i add more vanilla and brown the butter to give the cookies a richer flavor.

Eating this brand for more than 40 years
Brand loyal on this product. I have tried the more expensive brands and always return to Nestel Tollhouse, perhaps it is a reminder of my childhood or just a personal preference, I am not sure, but these are the chips for cookies or if you just want a little chocolate snack.
