I was excited when I saw this product as I was searching for a twin size bed frame but found it to be so much more. I knew I was opening something special as it arrived in a box only 4" wide and 3' wide making that in itself part of it's versatility. It folds to those dimensions when not in use. The frame is a smart base made of premium steel which acts as a foundation requiring no box spring for support thereby saving money. Underneath it has generous storage which is like a hidden closet which can be dressed with a bed skirt. I often have company on weekends as I live in a vacation area so this product is perfect for my needs but find no reason why it couldn't be used on a daily basis. This steel bed foundation/frame is lightweight but sturdy at only 25 pounds. It comes in one piece and does not require any tools to set up which I simply did alone in less than 5 minutes. It has 1 brace per leg which gently snaps into place and locked down with a wingnut. It's secret to not needing a box spring for support is the frame is made up of a grid like pattern foundation with metal supports. The supports are generously and closely spaced 5 inches apart vertically and 12" horizontally, how clever! The frame at 14" high, sits higher off the ground than conventional frames. My standard bed which is 9 and a half inches tall is just too short to store many standard storage boxes which generally measure 12" in height. I also learned a trick from going on cruises is to store my suitcases under the bed. This idea is perfect for my guests to stow their's while visiting. The frame has no sharp edges to be aware of and on it's legs it has hard plastic caps for easy gliding when moving. I found it to be noise free when laying and rolling over on it. I paired it up with an affordable memory foam mattress also available at Walmart for a nice comfortable, affordable multi-purpose bed. At day it serves as a place to comfortably sit as it is roughly the height of a sofa so I placed some throw pillows against the wall and it mimics a daybed. This bed frame is more affordable than others and with it serving it's multi- purposes of foundation, box spring and storage this frame is a home run for affordability, comfort and storage needs.
