It can be on the spicy side but I found that if I only use a portion of the sauce packet I can limit the amount of spice without compromising flavor. For me I'd say about half of the sauce packet makes for a spicy but not too spicy meal if you generally like a little bit of spice but don't go for anything eye watering.
