GE 4.5 cu ft Capacity Top Load Washing Machine with Cold Plus and Wash Bost

I've been a Maytag man all my 72 years. But when my Maytag washer had to be out to pasture, I thought well, guess I'll stay with Maytag. Nope, bad choice and brought it back the next day. Sadly, the federal government mandated that all washing machines now days use extremely less water. So little water, that the Maytag was only filling the tub barely enough get the clothes completely wet. Not to mention that it sounded like locomotive running. So I decided to go with GE because it had the simple but necessary features my old Maytag had but not the new Maytag. And, somehow allowed you to use more water when you want to. This GE washer runs circles around the Maytag in so many ways. Noisey? I find it considerably quieter than the Maytag for sure. The agitator is larger than the Maytag. If you want a washing machine that will use enough water to get the job done right, then I recommend that you buy GE. While opinions matter here for you to make a good choice, there are some opinions that never should have been displayed because they are the ones that destroy someones hopes of buying this product. There will always be something said negative about anything by anyone at any given time because you just can't please all the people all the time no matter how hard you try. Do yourself a favor and just go buy it and see for yourself how good it is.

My wife and I have had GE Appliances for over 40 years and when it came time to buy a new washer we knew it was going to be another GE washer. Our new washer is quiet and does the job. We like the new features such as Auto sensing water level and Locked and Unlocked/Complete indicators. We also like the large capacity.
