A Great General Brand

I love cinnamon and go through it like crazy. There aren't many kinds I don't like. If a recipe calls for 1 tsp, I put 2 tsp. It's my favorite spice. This particular McCormick type isn't all that strong but it gives a very pleasant overall spice taste to whatever you use it for.

Love the brand πŸ‘

Mccormick, from my experience, has the best spices. I'm sure there are better outside of my small world, but the brand is generally my go-to. I needed Cinnamon last week and my partner who really has no experience with buying spices other than salt and pepper (and yes, there are differences between brands when it comes to something as simple as salt and pepper) picked up the Stop and Shop brand of Cinnamon. Totally my fault for not being specific. When I say it was no different than ground dirt or your run of the mill tree bark found on any street in America as opposed to the genuine Cinnamomum verum tree found in Myanmar or Sri Lanka. I have no clue how their brand spice buyers thought it was good. I felt bad that I will never use it, so I used a tiny bit, holding back the gag, so he would think I was happy with his shopping pick. The next day I searched Mccormick Cinnamon on Walmart and was very pleased to find a 4 pack for $11.08. I have recently been trying to eat better in the hopes of staying away from junk and losing some weight, so I make overnight oats with apples, Cinnamon and fat free milk. If you take the time to place the chopped tiny slices of apple, sprinkle them with Cinnamon and bake them on low heat for quite a while to dry them, they really are so much more tasty than just tossing them in. The liquid pulls the flavor out of fresh apples and being that it is cold the apples do not absorb any of the Cinnamon flavor for some reason. Anyway the whole point is Mccormick is definitely my choice and for the price, a fantastic value πŸ‘
