our old Maytag washer was 25 years old and was now leaking and making a lot of noise after fine performance and no repairs. We decided to buy another Maytag based entirely on our past experience with the old one. We had some hesitation because of rumors that the new machines of any brand are not as durable. I guess as octogenarians we don't have to get 25 years out of this one but if it dies before we do I expect our kids raise cane with whoever own the brand. Seriously, a trusted rand should maintain quality. We are counting on you to keep your reputation intact.

Happy with this dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We converted from a stackable dryer to this type of dryer. We are happy with the dryer - seems to dry faster than our former dyer which was 15 years old. The lint cleaner is on the top of the dryer versus inside the dryer as you open the door. I am getting used to that. It is a basic dryer with basic functions. But with the last dryer with a 'mother board" and all the extras - too much to go wrong and basically a person only needs the basics. The price was right and so far happy with this maytag dryer.

Second Maytag purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second Maytag. The first set lasted over 20 years with almost no issues. This washer has a large capacity and really gets clothes clean. A variety of cycles are offered and it's fairly quiet.
