I purchased the item in August and I finally set aside some time to install it yesterday. I did not know that it would take less than five minutes to install, otherwise I would have installed it sooner! I'm a woman, and it was my first time installing a toilet seat. I like slow closing toilet seats. When I bought a new toilet, it came with a slow closing seat. I thought great, now I don't have to buy a new seat. I quickly found out that the "free" seat was made of the thinnest plastic. I couldn't sit on the closed lid to put on my shoes. So I had to buy this seat instead. It's made of solid wood and is very sturdy. It's very slow closing, so no little one's fingers can get mashed. I got it on sale, which saved me $5.00. I'm very satisfied.
