MaxKare 40" Evaporative Air Cooler, 3 Modes, 12H Timers, Oscillating Tower Fan White

its really not that great, the air can get cool while the water is freezing but that doesn't happen for too long you have to constantly keep the water freezing and yeah I bought for the sole purpose that it would make my room not hot, but its not working, the max air flow is sooooo bad too. I could blow stronger wind with mouth than this cooler. Overall I would never get this skinny trash can again. Also since my bed is huge , it doesnt really reach my bed tall wise. If your going asthetics then yeah I recommend it, but if you looking for something to keep you cool not really. Its so mid. 😔

Works excellent as designed. But poor build quality necessitated repairs and adjustments. First of all. The Ice Packs that come with it are very low quality and leak. I ended up buying some Cooler Shock lunch-sized packs that are a bit of a tight fit but work very well. Then the evaporation pads in the back weren't getting enough water so I looked at the drip tray they made and there are 10 small holes that were completely closed by poor manufacturing and only the 4 overflows were functioning properly. So I drilled out the 10 holes with a 3/16 (or slightly bigger) drill bit and works like a charm. Right now I am looking into splicing a water proof LED into the water tank so I don't have to shine a flashlight at it to see the water level anymore. Although you quickly learn to know that your water lasts 5-6 hours so you can set the timer to that and that'll work. Last thing I might upgrade is the evaporation pads themselves. They don't like to disperse the water very much, so I might just buy some new aftermarket ones since they're very cheap at Home Depot and cut them to size.
