My husband is usually in a 2X (Tall) when available, for this, however, we selected a 3X and were very pleased with the relaxed fit and light-weight, buttery-soft material! If you don't mind a soft but snug fit, I would suggest going true to size. As a pregnant woman who is growing quite rapidly, I chose to size up as well, to allow some additional room since I have been feeling easily suffocated. The fit is great and the glow has been so fun for the family!
