Instructions for the masa:Combine 2 cups of MASECA® corn flour with 1½ cups of water. Mix thoroughly for 2 minutes until you form a soft dough. If dough feels dry, add teaspoons of water (one by one).

Used to have to go to Atlanta years ago to get this product. Love that I can get it locally. I grew up in Mexico and Central America, and this is the closest to the fresh ground corn masa that I love. I mix 1/10th bread flour to add flexibility in handling. Also add sea salt to taste.

Great for pupusas!

I'm not Salvadorian, but I use this flour to make “pupusas”, and they taste amazing. It is easy to use, tastes good, and I like the consistency when prepared correctly. I keep it in the fridge, so it last long enough for me to use the whole bag even when I don't make the pupusas too frequent.
