I was disappointed that the mug wasn't insulated, but it's purpose was to allow my handicapped brother to carry his hot drinks without spilling them, so, other than that, it works. I removed the vent piece so he wouldn't be confused by it. I drilled a hole in the cover near the handle and attached a nylon cord so he wouldn't lose the cover. The handle looks roomy in the picture, but I can only get three fingers comfortably in there.
