I purchased two of these cabinets for using them to hold my old Sansui 990BD Receiver and most of my collection of Albums going back 50 plus years. I used one to sit on top of the other without using the base of the cabinet and used some plywood strips and screwed threw them to attach then on the back so not screwing it down onto the bottom cabinet and you can see it worked really good for what I wanted. The shelve inside is a little weak so I braced it under the albums and works well for my needs. What I like also they're not too wide so they're not taking up too much space in our living room. I added some rechargeable battery Led Puck Lights in the top and bottom cabinets to see well enough to play my albums on the turntable in the top and some in the bottom to see the albums. Cheap $20. dollar fix and no cords needed. really the cabinets are mostly made of wood which I was surprised so I feel I did get my money's worth for what I paid. Very easy to put together, but helps to have a second person to help, ok. Would I buy them again, for about the $600. dollars I spent for the two of them I felt I did get my money's worth, when I was looking at a lot of different cabinet's that would have cost me twice or three times the money. I don't anything bad to say about them but wish the shelve was made of solid wood and a 1/4 inch thicker, but other than that my wife and I both like the of white distress look applied to the cabinet. The doors are for sure solid wood, good hinges and latch catch to hold them closed. The feet are solid wood as the whole frame of the cabinet. If you are looking for a decent cabinet, I don't think you'd go wrong buying one of these. One thing I sorta didn't care for was they use these plastic locks mechanisms to hold the cabinet together. They are a little hard to flip them to lock so work at them and you do get a tight locked fit and watch how you pick it up to move. Being plastic, you would think they wouldn't hold, but they do. I might go ahead now that I'm going to keep them for sure and take so glue and run around the joints to help hold it better, but if you're not going to be moving them around you might not have to. I'm a finish carpenter and I really can't say that it isn't a decent cabinet for the money. One thing, you don't really need tools to assembly the cabinet, which is nice. It is a nice Cabinet!
