This Marketside Brown Sugar Ham Just Ruined All Ot

I popped this bad boy in the oven expecting “eh, it's Walmart ham,” and 45 minutes later I was sitting on the kitchen floor cradling the empty tray like Gollum with the Precious. My family walked in, saw the glaze smeared on my face, and just backed away slowly. No questions asked. The brown sugar crust? Criminal. It should come with a warning label: “May cause you to slap your grandma if she reaches for the last slice.” (Sorry, Nana, reflexes.) Juicy, smoky, sweet enough to make you whisper “I love you” to a piece of pork. I'm not proud of what happened next, but I did hide the leftovers in my sock drawer. Worth it. Five stars isn't enough. I want to give it six stars and a slow clap. Walmart, you absolute monsters, how dare you make something this good for this cheap? Take my money. All of it. Just leave the ham.

Perfect size for this old lady to share with a friend or two. Love the leftovers. Don't heat it up on high. I use the crockpot and a little juice of my choosing. Or a little bit of Rootbeer. I add some seasonings that sound yummy, throw it on low and then it's delightful. Sometimes I just dump in a small can of fruit. So easy and delicious.

This was a Sam's brand, but now is Marketside. It was brown sugar glaze flavored. Boneless and partly spiral cut in its own juices. It was just a small end of the ham about 2 lbs. Tender, good flavor, and NOT salty. This and Sugardale are my favorite hams at Walmart.
