Brings me back to memories of “snapping peas” when I was really young. We would help our grandparents snap and shell bushels of these as they canned them. There were so many, and it helped pass summer days and nights away. If you can't snap and shell your own peas with your grandparents or grandchildren, then these black-eyed peas are the next best thing.

Southern goodness comes in this lil can. The sauce is sooo very flavorful esp. if served over rice. I grew up loving these and I'm still a huge fan of the taste. Some ppl might think it's a bit salty but, just add rice and it's perfect. Sauce is opaque but, mod. thin. I'm so glad that these beans are so easy to prepare and you really don't nd to add additional seasonings.
