The Marcy Deluxe Smith Cage Machine MD-9010G is a total body home gym designed to have all the features of a club machine. With 3 different strength machines and 6 different exercise stations, you can perform a variety of exercises (over 100) all within 1 compact design. Built into this system is a cable-routed pectoral fly station, safety Olympic bar catches, fully adjustable Smith bar catches, an Olympic free weight rack, cable routed pulley system, and a multifunctional weight bench; which includes a total leg developer, an Olympic sleeve for the developer, a bicep preacher curl, and a preacher pad. The frame of the MD-9010G is built with the precision and strength Smith is known for. The 7-degree slant of the bench is designed around the natural body movements during exercise. It was constructed with heavy duty tubular steel and finished in a durable powder coat. This machine was designed for safety as well as power; made with 2000-pound tensile strength aircraft cables and an “off floor” base to optimize stability. The adjustable bar catches and safety stoppers ensure extra protection. Attachments included for your best workout are the lat bar, triceps rope, shiver bar, ankle strap, chrome row handle, and 2 single handles. Excellent machine
I absolutely love this machine I can do everything on this machine that I could do at the gym with some slight modification and common sense. Such as using the Smith bar to lock my legs under while sitting on the bench On a decline position to get a full stretch on the lat pull down .. I did purchase some heavy gauge quick release clips to make changing attachments faster and easier I also purchased some extra 18 inch in length small gauge chain to get extra range of motion when using the low row pulls from standing positions. All functions of the bench work very well I was pleased. It took my father and I about seven hours to assemble the gym it was fairly easy except the pulley system was a bit confusing but nothing we couldn't manage. The bench frame was slightly tweaked from shipping but didn't affect functionality at all just an eye sore. I am currently seeking a replacement bench from Marcy .. overall the machine is a huge bang for your buck I give it five out of five stars ..I don't see any reason you can't make Gaines on this machine I highly recommend if you want something that has free weight capability with the smith machine and pulley capabilities as well . Oh yeah and you may have to file down some of the holes for the bushings on the bench so that you can hammer them in but again not a big deal at all .. well I hope this review helps u make ur desicion.. good luck

Absolutely love it
Perfect for benching alone, has guides also brackets to catch the bar in case you fail. Uses standard 1in weights but has adapters for bigger. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
