Mainstays Traditional Solid Gray Shag Indoor Large Area Rug, 9' x 12'

I have dogs, kids, grandkids and cats living in my house. I tend to not put rugs down because they get looking bad quickly, and are hard to keep clean and keep from sliding. But I like having a rug in front of the sofa because I sit with my feet under me or beside me on the sofa, and if I don't brush them off, I end up with a crazy amount of dirt and sand on the furniture. I got this rug in desperation, a spur of the moment purchase completed out of frustration over how much dirt was on sofa! I didn't have high hopes because it was inexpensive, but I figured it would work ok for a little while. It has far exceeded my expectations! Even though the little ones like to eat on it, and they spill food everywhere, it is quite easy to clean up, the texture fluffs right back up when I vacuum it. I did choose the dark color, but I have done that in the past and it really hasn't helped, so this one actually cleans up remarkably well with just vacuuming. Between the dogs chasing the cats, and the kids chasing the dogs, rugs typically slide all over the room, but this one doesn't budge, which is good because hubby and I are both older and prone to falls, so a rug that doesn't slide around is a necessity. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this rug to anyone.

I love the color. It stands out beautifully and brings out all the other colors you use. As you know, this color is on top, including the furniture. It's a clean look, elegant and a warm atmosphere. You can use other colors when you want a different look without investing in new furnishings.
