I wish it was all the velvet feel and no fuzzy shag (light as it is) on the backside at all, but it's better than a fuzzy throw where my dogs hair gets embedded and twisted to the fuzzy. It's not recommend for cold winter nights unless you have a second/third cover for added warmth. I purchased 2 for this reason. They are soft and sleek feeling. Very pretty. I recommend.
