The shade of darker blue (almost indigo) is excellent - it is a fairly saturated blue, but not too dark. The shams appear to be well-made. The packaging was excellent --- since they are corduroy the slight square creases left behind are not objectionable. The shams fit my firm standard size pillows perfectly.
