I have always had the best of dishes, but these were cheap, very affordable. I'm 75 and my last dishes (stoneware) were beautiful, but very heavy, causing me to drop them, breaking them, and too thick to fit easily in dishwasher. I love the feel of these, and their beauty. They fit great in the dishwasher. BEST DISHES IVE HAD SINCE 1974, when I first set up my own home.

It is a little smaller than I thought it would be, but it is perfect for boxing my sugared cranberries I'll give to my dinner guests. I also have 4 different truffles I'm making - I think I will use a quart or pint jar and use fabric to make it look Christmasy.
