Great portable dust extractor
First off, this is a dust extractor for fine dust (concrete, drywall, etc), this is not a shop vac. I bought this to use on ladders or places I don't need a full size extractor. Dewalt does a terrible job with marketing thier products and there is a clear disconnect between dewalt corporate workers and workers like me in the field using their tools and needing a clear product description as well as accessories (marketing material states this tool includes a dcv9109 mini adapter but this is not included and as far as I can tell, doesn't exist...I have every adapter they make and 9109 isn't available anywhere) Like every other review I wasn't sure how to connect the 1" hose with a 1.25" cuff to dewalt airlock tools. It connects out of the box to dewalt sds shrouds, the dewalt cutout drywall tool shoud, and any 1.25" dust port but not airlock or to the dcv9000 adapter (hose is too small). I found a guy that 3d prints an airlock adapter (just Google it, it's easy to find...it's a small yellow connector) so now it works on all airlock dust ports. The adapter will accept any 1.25" cuff and connect it to the airlock dust port so you can use it on other vac hoses too granted it has a 1.25" cuff. Love this tool for the cutout tool, small hammer drilling jobs, and anything high up that creates fine dust. This isn't the tool for heavier dust like wood chips or large sanding jobs. Also love the adapter that empties the dust box into a larger vac, so you don't have to empty it in the trash so often. Also love the wireless tool connect (WTC) and wish dewalt would release more tools in the USA with it built in like they do in Europe. For example the 1/4 sheet sander. The extractor is 10/10 if used for the right purpose. The marketing is a 4/10 but that's life, do your research.

well i was going to buy it but looks like people say nothing fits any dewalt tools so now i wont be buying this

I was hoping to purchase this dust extractor.
I was really looking into purchasing this dust extractor but so far all i see is nothing seems to fit it i guess i wont purchase until i see that dewalt has corrected the issue come on dewalt I literally have almost have every Dewalt tool that's out I really count on you guys to be competitive and bring some of the best tools to the market but you guys seem to be failing at the 12v system which I love which is starting to force me into investing more into milwaukee and you guys need to keep up Milwaukee is really kicking our but in the market they seem to be thinking of everything Come on Dewalt Lets Pick It Up.
