Mainstays 20 x 30 Brass Metallic Poster Frame, Gold

I replaced an old acrylic covered poster frame that kept dropping the poster on the floor with this one in 18x24. Has a much improved system for holding in poster. There is a hardboard backing and metal tabs that fold over it to hold it in place. One tip on installing: I suggest using a flat-blade screwdriver and some care when you fold up the tabs as the fit is tight. Even after carefully folding up each tab, I had to use a plastic spudger to coax the hardboard backing out of the frame. It helps to stand the frame up and lean it over so gravity helps the backing to come out. Mine was a tight fit, which is good for keeping out dust, but makes installation a tad more challenging. This will depend on how the backing was cut at the shop, where the slightest 1/32" difference can cause it to be tight. Overall quite happy with appearance, construction, and price. One suggestion for improvement is to use a less intrusive sample photo in the frame. As my poster is a European size, slightly narrower than standard 18x24, I needed to have a white backing around the edges. The supplied sample photo is too heavily covered to work without showing through a little. I ended up using the white backing from the old frame. Better to supply a plain white backing in 18x24.
