Mainstays 1" Cordless Vinyl Light Filtering Blinds, 1-Piece, White, 36" W x 64" L

I really think that 1 inch blinds should be less then $10 a pair. I don't think $11, $12 or $15 a pair is fair. But, that is everywhere you go now. I love how you don't have a cord now and you just push and pull the bottom to raise or lower the blind it self. This is an upgrade with all 1 inch blinds now. I got the perfect size and it fits perfectly in my windows.

These blinds are good quality, but I would much rather have the old, "corded - style" blinds; first of all, as far as installation, I can't honestly say how easy or hard they "would have been" to install - I used the brackets that were already in the window from the old pair of blinds - thank God, because I do not own a drill; When I got them hung up, I was truly stumped as to how to raise and lower them, not really realizing that they act- ually said "cordless blinds"; when I read the little instruc- ion sheet, it indicated that you just "pull them down with your hand to lower them", and "push UP with your hand to RAISE them"; well, standing there looking at those blinds, I thought "there's no way that these things are going to work like that - up and down with your hand!!!" .... "they might be able to be pulled DOWN by HAND, but they ARE NOT going to be able to be RAISED by pushing UP WITH YOUR HAND, .... there's NOTHING THERE to take up THE SLACK!?!?!" Well, low and behold, they ACTUAL- LY DO WORK LIKE THAT !!!! You just push up from the bottom with your hand, and they raise like majic - I could NOT TELL YOU what's taking up the slack ?!?! All in all, I still prefer the old fashioned, pull-cord blinds - " safety not withstandin' " !!! They do work though, for those who have their doubts, just looking at the box thinkin' - "there's no way that could work?!"
