Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until all water is absorbed. **â Cooking Measurement Chart **Rice: 1 cup; Water: 1-½ cups; Yield: 3 cups; Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 4 **Rice: 2 cups; Water: 3 cups; Yield: 6 cups; Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 8 **Rice: 3 cups; Water: 4-½ cups; Yield: 9 cups; Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 12 **For drier rice, use ¹/4 cup less water. **For moister rice, use ¹/4 cup more water. **â â Add 1 tbsp butter and 1 tsp salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired. **Microwave - From Ambient **Cooking directions in the microwaveâ â â **1. In a 2 quart microwave-safe dish, combine 1-3/4 cups water and 1 cup rice.â â **2. Cover and microwave on High for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power; microwave for 10 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes. **â â Add 1 tbsp butter and 1 tsp salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired. **â â â It is recommended that only 1 cup rice be prepared in the microwave at a time. Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate.

Convenient, Great Texture and Resealable Bag
The 5lb bag of Mahatma Jasmine Thai Fragrant Long Grain Rice lasts a long time in my pantry. I always rinse it before cooking in my Zojirushi rice maker, and the results are soft, fluffy, and perfectly aromatic rice that is so easy to prepare. The ziplock bag is a big plus for keeping the rice fresh after opening, though I do wish it came in a sturdier container for even easier cupboard storage. Each 1/4 cup (uncooked) serving has about 160 calories, 0g fat, 36g carbs, 0g fiber, 0g sugars, and 3g protein... naturally sodium-free, gluten-free, and with no preservatives. The rice is Non-GMO Project Verified, which is great for peace of mind, though this specific product is not organic. Happy to see this being organic... organic options are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, can have slightly higher nutrient or antioxidant content, and offer greater environmental benefits. I'd love to see MORE organic options on Walmart's shelves in the future. This Mahatma rice is super easy to use and always delivers great results for meals!

a lot of people don't know the difference between plain rice and Jasmine rice. jasmine rice tastes better. maybe do a side-by-side taste comparison and you will definitely see that jasmine rise has a better flavor instead of just being a grain that goes to supplement your meat or poultry selection. I get this all the time and I recommend you try it today.

Excellent flavor
Because regular rice has gotten worse, I switched to Jasmine Rice, and I'm glad I did. Much higher quality and flavor. It really makes a huge difference when you're making Spanish rice or a traditional Asian dish. It's a little more expensive but definitely worth it.
