Magpul Men's Flight Tactical Gloves 2.0 Black Large

I purchased these gloves thinking they would be an upgrade to the beloved flight gloves I used to wear as a ground pounding Navy corpsman back in the 1980's while serving as a corpsman attached to a US Marine Corps rifle company. While they were generally issued to flight officers only, I got a pair at the Navy Exchange and used them with great affection during my duties with my platoon. When the decent gloves came to me in mail I discovered they are not a very good replica for the original gloves we used to wear. I'm not saying they are bad but they certainly lack the great manual dexterity both the old, and newest flight gloves supplied to the current military. I'm disappointed that weren't the same as these great flight gloves, mostly related to the thickness of the leather, but also because of the “extra” leather used in their construction on the finger tips of these gloves. I'll still use them for duties not needing manual dexterity, and they aren't bad gloves, but for my brothers and sisters in arms, just be aware they are NOT the same as the GI gloves we were used to and plan accordingly when you decide to purchase them.

After trying a German surplus iteration which fell apart within weeks of use, these are the perfect do-it-all glove. I love the durability as well as light weight.
