Magic Mike [DVD]

Steven Soderbergh directs Channing Tatum in this drama following upstart male stripper Adam (Alex Pettyfer) who is mentored by a veteran dancer, Mike Lane, played by Tatum. Mike meets Adam after he was fired from his job and Mike convinces him to become a male stripper alongside him. The two grow closer and Mike is introduced to Adam sister who he gets a soft spot for despite having a reputation amongst his clients. Soon Mike discovers that the club he dances for is moving to Miami and he tries to get out of the life to follow his dreams. Soderbergh directs from a script by Reid Carolin, whose screenplay is inspired by Tatum's work as a stripper before he made it in Hollywood. Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Cody Horn, and Olivia Munn co-star.
