This brush is very well made and exceeded my expectations! At first, I was concerned because delivery time was so long. I did not expect this brush to be as good as it is. The bristles are short- making them firm- and very generous- helping them grab the hair, the handle is light-weight wood and attractively-shaped It looks nice on a dresser. I generally don't like rubber-based bristle holders because the rubber pulls my hair and breaks down from oils after a while; however, the close-spacing of the bristle bundles seems to avoid the rubber from being on contact with the hair. I will have to learn how to clean this type of "multi-media" brush, as it's different than wood-poked boar bristle brushes. I'm not sure how the rubber is attached to the frame and don't want to destroy it trying to discover that. There were two very, VERY small gouges in the side of the brush where the bristles are, not on the handle, that take away from this brush's appearance, but these would not be in every brush. If you are thinking about buying this Natural Bristle brush, and don't mind waiting about 4 weeks to arrive, go ahead and buy it. For the price, buy multiples, ha!
