Press to close. **Stovetop - From Ambient **Liquid to Rice Cooking Ratios **Servings (about 3/4 cup cooked rice): 2; Rice (dry): 1/2 cup; Water or broth: 3/4 cup **Servings (about 3/4 cup cooked rice): 4-5; Rice (dry): 1 cup; Water or broth: 1 1/2 cup **Servings (about 3/4 cup cooked rice): 8-9; Rice (dry): 2 cups; Water or broth: 3 cups **This product is raw and must be cooked in order to enjoy its delicious flavor. **1 Using a fine mesh sieve, thoroughly rinse desired amount of rice under cold water for 1-2 minutes and drain. **2 In a medium saucepan, soak rinsed rice in water for 30 minutes prior to cooking (refer to chart above for rice and water ratio). **3. Bring soaked rice and water to a boil. **4. Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a low simmer and cook for 20 minutes. **5. With lid on, remove from heat and let steam for 10 minutes. **Tip: If rice is too firm at the end of cooking, it may be necessary to add 1-2 tbsp. Liquid and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes. **Other - From Ambient **Rice Cooker: To prepare in a rice cooker, use the same liquid to rice ratio.

Great for low FODMAP!
I love this sushi rice because it is great for those with IBS issues who are intending to avoid fibrous carbs and plant chemicals like salicylates, oxalates, etc. It tastes great when I cook it in chicken broth, which adds flavor. Strongly recommend!

Really delicious!
Rice is usually paired with beans or some other protein. This brand of rice could be the "main event" at a meal. It is so consistently delicious! If you have a rice cooker with a short-grain setting, it's especially easy to cook this rice so that it has the correct stickiness without being mushy. Rice in bins at my local store is less expensive, but this rice is worth the price. I like it even better than ice cream (ha ha).

Perfect rice!
First of all, Lundberg is the only brand of rice grown in the USA that I will buy. Wonderful company. Beautiful rice. This particular rice is "sushi" rice, which is very short grain sticky rice. That being said, let's forget about sushi for a moment now, shall we? Let's instead think about making some Onigirazu (Japanese rice "sandwiches") or Onigiri (Japanese rice balls). There are many wonderful recipes for these online, including some on Lundberg's own website. They may be filled with all sorts of yummy veggies and condiments of your choosing. Make ahead the night before and refrigerate to grab and go on your way to work on the bullet train, (or public transit) and enjoy a nutritious and yummy breakfast Japanese style!
