I like that It is an older style disco ball. It has real mirrors glued to it which face slightly in different directions which throws of light in a nice way. Some of the newer ones are just molded plastic with a uniform slightly contacts throughout the mirror that should be flat and they do not throw a flight the same way. They are fragile but It happy with it

I purchased this for my son. My niece, his cousin, passed away this year. Next month would have been her 40th birthday, and her plan and wish was to have a disco party for her birthday celebration. So, this is a lovely reminder of his favorite cousin for him to have in his "man cave." We also purchased several miniature ones to add to a small Christmas tree in memory of the special person in our life who is going to be missing this year. Since her birthday is 3 days after Christmas, we decided that a disco themed miniature tree was a perfect tribute to her.
