Instructions
Cooking Directions: 3 easy steps. 1. Melt 5 tbsp. butter or margarine in a saucepan, add entire packet of cajun etouffee base, and stir over low heat until medium brown. 2. Add 2 cups water and 1 lb. of peeled crawfish or peeled shrimp. Cover and bring to a boil, stirring often. 3. After mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 15 minutes. Ensure seafood is thoroughly cooked (to 145 degrees F or opaque in color). Serve over cooked rice. Enjoy! Also great served over pasta! Variations: Try our etouffee base using pre-cooked diced chicken. Ensure chicken is thoroughly cooked (to 165 degrees F). Add rice & seafood for a complete meal.
