Adorable dresser!

Such an adorable dresser for my five-year-old daughter. I received the pink one for her and it is a lot cuter in person. The directions are not too difficult to follow except for a couple complaints. the organization of the screws and hardware is not good. It was very time consuming to sort them out. The hardware was all jumbled in a single baggie. The illustrations showed similar pictures and made understanding a little bit of a challenge. The dresser itself is beautiful, however the predrilled holes made the drawers slightly uneven. It requires more effort to close the drawers past the lip of the frame because it catches on it. It's not really noticeable visually, but my daughter has a hard time closing some drawers because of it. The color of the pink is rich and clear. The white is so pure. No blemishes. No wood grain because the texture of the outside dresser isn't a wood, but more of a scrubable composite. You can tell it's wrapped around pressed particle board, but it doesn't at all take away from the quality of the dresser. In fact, it makes it seem even more well designed. The inside of the drawers also has a type of scrubable textured material. I love this dresser so much, I intend to get one from this line for my other two children. It took more than 4 hours for my husband to assemble. I recommend using a power drill to assemble as it will make the process go faster. It is extremely heavy at maybe 150 pounds and is definetly solid! There is no fear of it tipping over. It's gorgous and adorable. I highly recommend it, despite the minor challenges during assembly.

Very Sturdy

This dresser is a lot nicer than what I expected and it's made in he USA.It was delivered in two big heavy boxes and you need two adults to put this together. There are a lot of pieces to assemble and some were not labeled. It came with all the hardware, you need screwdrivers and a hammer to put this together. The instructions are pictures only and at times it was confusing and vague. Some of the pieces the holes did not line up or the holes were not drilled through all the way. This took us two hours and forty minutes to put the dresser together. The pieces are well made and very sturdy nothing is flimsy. It comes with two different sets of knobs so you can pick which ones you want. Some of the drawers did not line up well in the dresser and the legs of the dresser are plastic. The back of the dresser is cardboard. The drawers are sturdy and a good size, there is six drawers. Once it is all together it is very heavy and it looks nice. There was no missing parts but it was a pain to put together. It has a strong chemical smell and we put it in the garage to air out. I recommend this product but it will take a lot of your time.

For young, patient, mechanically-inclined people

This dresser kit comes in 2 VERY heavy boxes containing a total of 352 pieces. You really need 2 strong, able-bodied adults to put this together, and 6-8 hours to assemble. Seriously. And a power drill with screwdriver bits is HIGHLY recommended. Building experience is a plus as the illustrated instructions aren't terribly easy to understand. The 200+ pieces of different hardware come all mixed together in one bag. You'll definitely need to sort them all out before beginning because it's easy to get some pieces mixed up during the build. I had a few extra of some hardware, but was 4 screws short and had to purchase from the hardware store. The chipboard pieces for the dresser aren't all clearly marked. You'll want to figure them out and sort before building. The paint job on the chipboard is pretty good. There were only two minor, barely noticeable, small chips in the paint. The ombre pink drawer fronts are much prettier in person than photos. I'm not a big fan of pink, but I like the look of this dresser. You might notice from my photo of the finished dresser that there's a slight gap above the top drawers, and the larger drawer on the right side doesn't sit quite level. I knew during building this would happen because I noticed the pilot holes for that drawer tract were slightly off level. But there was no way to correct it. The drawer bottoms are laminated heavy cardboard, and the wider drawers have a chipboard brace below the center for extra support. The finished dresser seems quite sturdy except for one thing. The dresser's legs are hollow plastic. If you ever have to move the dresser, even just an inch or two, I definitely wouldn't scoot it; I'd be afraid the legs would snap off. Lift & carry, don't scoot! There's also an oddly placed 5th leg (you might be able to see in my photo) which, to me, detracts from the aesthetics. It may be necessary for support, but it would look better had they put it in the front and added a 6th leg lined up with it along the back. One odd design element I can't understand is the depth of the drawers is 6-inches shorter than the depth of the dresser. So there's 6 inches off dead space between the back of the drawers and the back of the dresser. Why didn't they make the drawers 5-6 inches deeper? Had I gotten this dresser pre-built, I'd have rated it 5-stars. But the engineering could have been better, and an 8-hour build time without power tools did me and my helper in.
