My A/C unit is a 4 year old Trane. I went through 2 other name brand thermostats that failed internally within 2 years each. I then purchased the recommended Honeywell Thermostat, June 2025. I wish I purchased this 4 years ago. My home has equal temperature throughout the house and more importantly, the humidity is consistently in the mid 50% range. The other thermostats fluctuated with the outside Humidity making the house feel uncomfortable.

Great thermostat
Ease of programming. Able to use phone to manage with phone but must register online to do so. Didn't really appreciate this and don't see the need. Don't take power company rebates as it will allow the power company to set your thermostat in time if high power usage. If it doesn't work with the C wire connected have an ac tech check the voltage. This thermostat requires a full 24 volt power supply.
