If you are looking for a feel good, tickle your ears book, search again! This book is flowing with TRUTH! Scripture to back up the Lies we have been TRAINED and submerged in. Some of the lies, I would have never thought were lies until I read why they are! Pray for a softened heart and dig in. Read it, pray about it, and Be a DOER of the word and NOT just a Hearer- who says that does not apply to me. The author practices what she teaches. She is not perfect (All fall short...) but ALL the lies she points out in this book totally have merit! They are backed up by the inspired word of God! Many are counter-cultural! So be prepared to hear things that are way different than society by a LONG shot! Be prepared to sound different, look different, act different if you apply this book! This is probably one of my favorite Bible study books and it doubles as a quick reference guide to whatever situation I or others I love face. Since reading, I see the lies more readily and can remove them. I then can rehearse scripture that counters the lie!! The key is not only removing the lie but replacing it with TRUTH!

She gives you practical advice and scripture to combat each lie. Practical advice, wisdom from those who have “been there”and so much more. Honestly I thought I didn't need this book but after reading it I think every woman needs to read it. We also started doing it at a small group and it has been excellent. I highly recommend Lies Women Believe and the Truth That Sets Them Free. This is a classic that has been updated that women need to read and share. This book is a treasure. I was given a free copy from the publisher for my honest review. I am happy to do just that and highly recommend this book.
