Smooth, Reliable, and Built to Last

As an amateur woodworker, I've tried a few different tape measures over the years, but I always come back to HART. This 12-foot auto-lock version is my go-to. The auto-lock feature is super convenient—it stays in place without fighting me, and when I'm ready to retract it, one press of the button and it glides right back in smooth as butter. None of that jumpy, jerky retraction like you get with some other brands (you know what I'm talking about). I've been using HART tape measures for years now, and not a single one has worn out or broken on me. Solid build, dependable, and just feels good in the hand. And the Belt clip is as solid as the tape, always a good resistance to hold onto my belt or the box or my tape measure holder on the side of my bench. Can't ask for more.

This tape measure is just what I wanted for around the house. 12 feet I'd plenty and it has a lock and auto retraction. The size is small and not heavy. It also has regular and metric measurements.
