My previous computer broke, I needed one fast, but also at a decent price. I went with this one because I've had good luck with Lenovo in the past. I am happy with it. It's lightweight, has good full hinge (which is what broke on my gateway I had before), charges fast and stays charged for a long while.

Great price for a good student laptop

I bought this for my child going off to college. It was a really good price for the features. The only small negative is that I would have preferred 16 GB of memory, but for less than $20 I will order another 8 GB RAM stick. All the other features matched what I was hoping to get and even with 8 GB RAM it is plenty fast for almost all uses. As a professional software developer, I am pretty picky about my laptops, but I am a huge fan of Lenovo and when shopping around this was the best deal I found for the specs I was looking for.
