I'm comfortable with Lenovo pcs and the track ball... the X1 is smaller, thinner and much more powerful even though it shares the same screen size. The Carbon X1 was exactly what I needed--build quality is top notch (carbon fiber and magnesium) as well as being responsive and sleek. The gestures are extremely intuitive and remind me of my old macbook air I had in 2010 that I loved but the X1 is even better. After using this I can confidently say that I would take this over the macbook in terms of overall value, function, and productivity. Very pleased.
