Due to medical therapy and previous traumatic injuries, I've recently gained weight, but I can't wear clothes that are tight in certain places, like my left hip, because it causes me pain. These denim shorts are "control" fit, meaning the material has Spandex or similar material in it. When I first put them on they felt very snug, but actually didn't pinch or pull too tightly; they moved with me just fine. The denim material made the shorts a little stiff initially but in typical jeans fashion, repeated use is breaking them in. So after a couple weeks, they've softened and are more comfortable while retaining the control fit. I'm very pleased with these shorts so far.
