I will keep buying these jeans for my grandson

It's the only jeans my grandson wears, and my husband likes them, too. I only have one question: two of the pair I bought have the piece in the crotch tear, one completely disintegrated, one just ripped: is this normal, it's the only ones that it happened to and I have bought quite a few pairs over the last few years.
