Operating on 2-AA alkaline batteries, the Kidde Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector provides continuous protection from smoke, fire, & CO gas, even during power outages. The smoke detector is easy to install on a wall or ceiling; to ensure proper installation, the test/silence button will electronically simulate the presence of smoke and cause the unit to sound. This Kidde smoke detector is dependable and reliable, giving you the warning you need to prevent disaster or damage to your home. Happy camper-Kidde Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detector
This is the second set of two Kidde Smoke %26 Carbon Monoxide Detectors that I have purchased. The first set lasted trouble free for approx. 10 years so I have good reason to expect that these new ones will do just as well. I didn't even have to change the mounting plates as these newer ones are exactly the same making the installation a virtually a nothing burger. Walmart's delivery was prompt too. I'm a happy camper.
