Lands' End Women's Mini Swim Skirt Swim Bottoms

Love the print and fit. I wish there were more tankini tops that matched the colors in this swim miniskirt

I bought this because I like to wear swim skirts (for reasons), and love the Lavender Fusion color. I ordered the size 12 based on the fit of a size 14 I had ordered in a different color. I noticed the size 14 came up to my proper waist, well above my bellybutton. I thought maybe it was because it was a size too big. I wanted one in this color, too, so I ordered in a size 12 this time. The size 12 also comes up almost to my waist, again well above my bellybutton, and I can hardly tell any difference in the fit between the 12 and the 14. Maybe the 12 might be a little snugger, but TBH, the size 12 and 14 don't look or feel that different. The skirt seems comfortable and well-made. I would say, order the size you think you need, based on the size chart, realizing that the waistband may come higher than modern low-rise swim bottoms. The fit and styling is fine for me, because, being a more mature woman, I'm pairing these with tankini tops, so I wasn't really looking to show much, if any, midriff. However, if you are looking for a low-rise swim skirt that hits below the belly button, this isn't it. I would suggest that Lands' End consider keeping this skirt in the lineup, for those who are looking for more coverage, but add back in a shorter, low-rise mini swimskirt with a side slit, as other reviewers have requested. (At one time, I would have been among those requesting that.) I rated this 4 stars, based on the unexpectedly high waistband.
