Labou

This is a great family movie that children and adults alike will love. It's full of laughs, and everyone will adore the endearing, amphibian-like Labou. Labou is a breath of fresh air with its use of puppets and animatronics; so much in films today is computer generated. The dialogue is funny, and truly kid-friendly. Overall, a "treasure" of a buy!

My favorite movie growing up was the Goonies. I always wondered why they didn't make a sequel. Or why no one else ever makes movies like that anymore. Just fun, adventurous, grab your popcorn and go for a wild ride kind of movie. Well, I finally found one! LABOU has all of the magic of the 80's films I love to share with my kids, but now this is "their" movie! We picked it up this on the holiday weekend, and I think they have worn the disk out already! Every time we watch it, it gets more fun, which is rare with modern kids flicks. My kids also loved the "making of" stuff, which they usually skip, but they watched these several times already. Maybe I have some future movie stars! If you loved stuff like Gremlins, ET, and the Explorers as a kid, you have to share LABOU with your kids!
