TRY IT ! I am 57. I have found that a 50-55F cold soak / 'ice plunge' after an assertive workout with speed up my recovery time. Normal ambient temp for me is 65-70, I use about 40 to 50 lbs of ice to chill it down. Ice added before workout, good temp achieved when w.o. is done. I had a co-worker who spent $3k on his ice plunge, this is FAAAR cheaper! Go for it !
