4. SLEEPING HOOD - The ESSENTIALS all-weather sleeping hood is constructed from a soft, breathable mesh, which provides excellent air flow for your sleeping baby and improved visibility for parents.

5. POCKETS - Our large zippered storage pocket offers ample storage space for all your other essentials, and the easy-reach pocket is ideal for storing the hood when not in use.

Great baby shower gift

Lillebaby complete is better

I decided to upgrade to the lillebaby complete because it was much more comfortable with the lumbar support and multiple carry positions. I recommend spending more to upgrade from this model as it's worth the money.

not happy

beyond frustrated that this did not come with the infant insert nor did it specify that it would need one. I've searched high and low to find the insert but it's not available anywhere. i won't be able to use it with out the insert so i wasted money. it's such a nice carrier but can't use it.

We are currently out of stock of the Infant Insert and, unfortunately, we do not have plans to restock it at this time.<br /><br />The Essentials can be used with our Infant Pillow, though we really only recommend doing so when baby is around three or four months old when they have stronger head and neck control. It can be used without any accessory at about 15 pounds, when baby is properly supported knee-to-knee by the carrier seat.<br /><br />If you are planning to use your carrier with a newborn, we recommend purchasing one of our COMPLETE carriers, which can be used from 7 pounds without an infant insert, thanks to the adjustable-width seat.<br /><br />I hope this helps!
