I didn't know what size to get my 14 pound Shih Tzu. so, I bought a medium, and also a large the medium just came to the tip of his butt, but the large covered his top of his tail and when Shih Tzu‘s poop their tail goes up, so I decided to use the medium and cold weather, the plaid side, which is plaid side is a nice warm material . I will put it next to his coat. The other solid side is waterproof %26 will keep dry from snow %26 sleet. I'd like to find a little black head land to keep his ears dry %26 warm. He looks great. He's not to please.
