I had one of these carriers before and had someone hit it with their car. I ordered another carrier, not this one-boy was that a huge mistake!! After another accident I ran to the computer to order another one of these!! There is no comparison! This carrier is twice as good as the other brand. The metal is of heavier material, the hardware is superior, and the overall design is much better! NOTE:THE ONLY BAD POINT IS THE CLIP THAT HOLDS THE GATE UPRIGHT, STICKS OUT AND CATCHES THE TIRES. Still the best for your money-by far!!!!

The ramp is well made and solid. It took a couple of hours to get the ramp installed. I had to get an adapter as the ramp did not align correctly with the hitch on my car. I got the adapter at a local U-Haul station. They had just what I needed. Other than that, the install went smoothly. The ramp can be flat down with the side panel up or down. It can also be made almost flat against the car.
