I purchased a condo 5 months ago and was making many upgrades to the unit. I wanted everything to be not only up to code, but perfect in every detailed. The previous owner upgraded the two bathrooms with Kohler fixtures. I noticed both toilet seats needed to be replace. (Unfortunately, the damage was caused by the painter I hired) One had a crack in the middle of the seat. The other was missing one of bumper pads under the seat itself. So I set on a mission to find replacement seats for both bathrooms. First let me start with this: Don't waste your time going to the big box stores. Selection is very limited unless you have a standard toilet seat that needs replacement. Second, and I can't emphasize this enough: The customer service at Kohler is second to none. Their knowledge base was beyond what I was expecting. I did not receive any product information from the previous owner so I was clueless as to which product and color I needed. The Kohler customer service representative sent me sample swatches to match the color since we could not locate the product ID on the toilet itself. I matched the correct color and researched on their website for the correct elongated seat that I needed. I placed my order on-line with ease and received both seats within a week and a half. Installation was a breeze. In closing, I have to say the original seats were very uncomfortable, but the Kohler-French Curve ReadyLatch Quiet-Close elongated toilet seat I find to be very comfortable for my derriere. They say, "You get what you paid for" and yes, this item is a little on the pricey side, but it was well worth the investment!
