I bought this as a living-room couch for my 1 bed Apt for now. Someday, when I get a house it will be a perfect mainstay for an entertainment, office, or guest room. It's exactly what I hoped it would be. A comfy couch that can quickly transform into a "real bed/mattress" and also be relatively easy to breakdown/transport. It's such a simple design and looks Great. You will definitely want to get some (aftermarket pillows, one for your sides and one for the head) which I planned to do regardless. The arms tables are convenient so I didn't have to buy end tables right now. The drawers are also well constructed and they work great and fit perfectly without the frustration of rails. They rollout very smoothly and it's super easy to pull the drawers completely out and put them back. So it could make for a "toy-box", pillow storage, or video game storage in my case. The finish on the paint is very nice. In fact, the manufacturers didn't take the typical shortcut of not painting "hidden" wood.
It seems like there are a lot of steps for assembly, but I watched the video instructions on the Kodiak website which helped me speed up the process a lot. In this case, the Retailer (OJCommerce) did as promised. The packaging had very little wear and tear.
There aren't any noticeable defects (except for one) which might be helpful to Kodiak and all to take note of; see picture: The Legs come pre-attached to side panels with under screws and aligned with wooden Pegs. On one side of my specific couch the legs came unglued after some time of sliding and moving the couch around to its final resting place. To repair I Gorilla wood glued the peg holes and a thin line of Gorilla super glue along the faces that attach the leg to the side panels. I think the assemblers had also already glued, but maybe the glue was of low quality or defective. I don't think it's definitely required, but I also screwed on a mending Brace to each leg for extra (long term) re-enforcement. Checking these side panels for possible "bad" glue is something to consider prior to anymore sales and delivery.
