Instructions
Cooking Tricolor Quinoa: 1 cup tricolor quinoa; 2 cups water; 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional); 1 teaspoon butter (optional). Bring water to boil in medium saucepan; add quinoa (salt and butter if desired). Cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 15 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and allow to stand covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Yields about 3-1/4 cups cooked quinoa.

Best thing I've tried lately!
First time trying quinoa and I like it very much. So far tried it in three dishes, for all these I rinsed and then soaked the quinoa anywhere between 30 minutes to 12 hours for sprouting since sprouting reputedly unlocks maximum nutrition. Oatmeal replacement, I much prefer the quinoa Threw a handful into pancake mix, it added interesting taste/texture, will never make pancakes without it again. Added to savory veggie stew, it filled it out very nicely.
